This diet is VERY hard for most people, but certainly sees extra ordinary results. Most lose 8-10kgs (20lbs) in 10 days!! Having said this, for those that are prone to binging this one may be more difficult. Also to avoid rapid weight gain, food must slowly be introduced.


2. Skinny Psyco Diet

This is about as hard as the ballerina diet, but does not specify food. It has a four day fast in the middle, so good for fasters! This one can lose you up to 10kg which is amazing in just 2 weeks. The hardest part is the 30 minutes of cardio every day which is difficult on such a low intake but hey that is what makes it extreme!



3. Russian Gymnast diet

This one in principal is easy, but you are eating so little and so little variety it is very difficult to maintain. Not for the faint hearted. Very dangerous to do for more than 5 days, but in this time you can lose up to 7lbs.

4. Ice princess diet

This one is easy if you are used to heavy restricting, but not if you aren't. It can give fab results, but is not healthy to do for very long. It allows for a little more variation so is a slightly more interesting way to shed the pounds.



5. Blue jeans diet

This is recommended for those that aren't good at fasting or just don't like it. It is nice as on the fast day you can choose which type of fast you would like to do. On this diet I personally lost 6lbs with minimal exercise. Can be done!

I hope you like green tea! I love it! This is one of my personal favourites. I used it when breaking a binge cycle and it worked wonders. It is quite long and I lost a lot of weight (can't remember exact figure). Highly recommend it, but if heavy restriction leads to binging, I wouldn't choose it. I do have some coming for those trying to break the binge cycle.


7. Angel diet

This one I must confess I know little about. I have heard it is relatively easy to do, and the average weight loss is about 5lbs a week. That said, you should be used to restricting sub 500 calories and love apples to try this!

Another favourite. In fact, I am on day 5 of this right now. Be under no illusion, this drains the life out of you. It is hard, and I very nearly toppled into a binge. I don't even usually binge but the constant low calorie intake triggered reactive eating. The results are amazing. Loads of threads on mpa about this and it really is incredible. Many people lose the full stone or even 15/16lbs!! I personally have tried this before and I lost a very satisfying 11lbs. I was already underweight with a slower metabolism though! Highly recommend!


9. Fix It Fast

This one claims you can lose up to 9kg, but I have only ever heard of people losing 5-7. That said, 12-15lbs is a lot of weight for such a short diet. I love the mono day, personally. Well worth a try if you need something too kick you back on track.

10. Jade's slim down diet

Now I believe we are in a slightly easier territory. Doesn't mean you can slack, though! This diet is great for anybody looking for a 2 week action plan before they start a longer term plan of 500-800 calories. If you haven't dieted in a while, this could be perfect as you will lose very fast through water weight! If you don't like fasting there might be a problem!

I think that this is great for anybody who wants to lose rapidly in a marginally more healthy manner? That said, if your bmi is under 18 I would seriously discourage as this is 3 months of incredibly low restriction and you will get seriously seriously underweight and likely end up in hospital or six feet under. Perhaps for those at higher bmis who want to get back down?

12. Galaxy Diet

I love this cosy diet because it is perfect for breaking a plateau, or adding some variety. When my weight loss starts to slip down to just a pound or two a week I would jump start it with this diet! It isn't too impossible but can lead to binging so careful!


13. Anomeda Diet

Very similar to the galaxy one. It is a great diet and I would certainly recommend, but you should be used to restricting sub 600 calories a day. Good luck and remember to send me results if you try!

What a cute little diet! I love this for breaking binge cycles and generally doing every now and again to mix things up! It only lasts a week, but I lost about 4.5lbs. It is great if you have an event coming up that you urgently need to slim down for. Well worth a go!


15. Fairy tale diet

I love this diet. I'm not really sure why. I think because the restriction is not too low, but you wouldn't guess that when you see the results. Pretty sure most people lose 12-14 pounds on this one so if you need to shed a quick stone this could just be for you.

Very similar indeed to the Pretty and pink diet although reportedly slightly easier to sustain. It is all down to personal preference though! I would recommend for anyone trying to get back on track who isn't too keen on extreme restriction. Worth a shot x

This, like the ABC diet, is very famous. Known for amazing results. My favourite part is the increased intake for weekends. That's just me though! Sustainable, fast weight loss that can be combined with exercise!

Perfect for those trying to stop binging! This is not a very well known diet, but it sure as hell works. It really slims down fat and is totally worth it. The calorie intake is high enough to fit in with day to day life, and for more rapid results pair with 30 minutes cardio 5 times per week. Obviously results vary on what is eaten though!


23. Giovanni's 30 Days

I love this diet for when I need a good kick up the backside to get back on the weightloss wagon. Sometimes we all need a transformation month to give us the motivation to go and achieve great things. This really is an amazing plan. It has high enough calories to allow exercise and is great for those sneaking around parents haha. Good luck with this one.

This one has a great feel to it. As the calorie intake is high but varied, I felt great all the way through when doing this diet. It is a popular choice, and the results justify why. It is good for breaking binge habits and is focused but not too difficult to complete. I still managed school work when doing this as I had enough energy for my brain to function. This raises your metabolism too. It is great for breaking plateaus. I would recommend cardio exercise with this for optimum finish! 


25. Shrinking Beauty

Although it specifies six weeks, I like to live on this diet. It is perfect for me to sustain with my exercise regime, and allows me to function, evade suspicion, and lose steadily. The weighloss for me was two or three pounds per week which I was content with! Good for those new to dieting, or at underweight bmis. Also for anyone used to extreme deprivation, this diet can be the first step to recovery. Highly recommended.


26. Ana In Training

This is a very interesting one, as you are compelled by the rules of the diet to burn off all calories consumed. Weight loss is up to 4lbs per week so very satisfying. I think that it is a good one to try if you enjoy cardio and want a slightly higher intake.

I LOVE IT. For people who hate fasting, like me, this diet is completely perfect. There is no fasting, but still gives excellent results. I usually do this twice over as I enjoy doing it and it makes me feel good. I lose a lot on this diet too. It isn't so great for those prone to binging as many report going over board with the calories. Anyone should give it a go though!

29. Mardi Maigre Diet

For any that like to fast this is great as it combines fasting with higher calorie days to keep up both metabolism and weightloss. Good for those already at underweight bmis- but I urge you to be careful. Always had good results with this one!

This higher calorie option is a much healthier way to lose weight than most of the diets here. On this one you are almost guaranteed not to gain it back again. I would recommend if you are looking for a crash diet or want to prepare for summer. Definitely a good one for both health and results.
